Market visit for UK companies: Hainan | 跟英中贸易协会总裁共赴海南探寻商机

We invite British companies to join CBBC's chief executive Stephen Phillips on a two-day visit to Hainan Province, where we will follow up business opportunities we have identified for UK companies in the sectors below. We will meet high-ranking officials including the vice-governor of Hainan, the mayor of Sanya and heads of provincial and municipal government departments. The visit is free of charge to CBBC members.

As one of the major maritime transport channels connecting Asia-Pacific with the world, the island province of Hainan, south China, is a key hub on the new Maritime Silk Road, as identified in CBBC and UKTI's report on the Belt and Road initiative.

Hainan is being supported at state level as part of this initiative, in particular to open up to the world as an international tourist destination. We expect this to boost construction, development and auxiliary areas including services, retail and the creative industries, particularly in the port cities of Haikou and Sanya, and to strengthen Hainan's position as an international gateway, all of which opens up possibilities for British companies who can make an early mark.
